Gregory and Lukas discuss Washington cannabis topics like the Social Equity in Cannabis task Force, a possible THC limit bill this session in Olympia, traceability in Washington and other WA centered topics. It’s a Bust: IAB follows a case in Ohio and Pennsylvania where cannabis was found being shipped via rail from Mexico in New Ford Fusions.

In the News: In a sad and tragic story, the news segment begins with a look at a child’s death in Virginia allegedly due to “Delta 8 THC toxicity,” followed by a discussion about the second annual Leafly Cannabis Report, Florida’s growing medical cannabis market and Mississippi’s medical cannabis outlook. Interview: In this segment, Henry Hagen (of the Henry Hagen Band) interviews Hempfest Organizers, activist and supporters at a Hempfest fundraiser earlier in the year. He speaks with Vivian McPeak, Levi Lyon, Caitlin Ryan of the Cannabis Alliance, Kitty Junk, Bootleg Bill, King Youngblood, Stacy Block and James Laythrim about their thoughts on where Hempfest has been and where the world’s largest protestable is going. It’s a Bust: Each show, Lukas and Dig take some time to talk about the ongoing arrest of people for various cannabis crimes, despite cannabis being the 6th largest crop in the country. This week Lukas brings up the large busts, 200 lbs +, that are ongoing in states like Wyoming and Nebraska.

Interview: Lukas and Dig talk to Dr. James McRay about the state of pesticide testing in Washington, the WSLCB’s new reporting system and some other Washington related topics. Interview: This show Lukas speaks with Blake Schroeder of Medical Marijuana Inc. about the state of CBD regulations in Europe, why UK regulator’s may view CBd is a “novel” food and information about some CBD studies MMI is working on. It’s a Bust: This IAB looks at how the IRS/Federal Gov. is making examples out of Southern California medical cannabis providers.

In the News: The duo covers in this week’s news segment; DC prohibiting drug tests for employees, Nebraska medical cannabis news, Oklahoma halting new cannabis licenses and a town in Colorado changing its name to Kush. Interview: In this weeks’ interview Lukas speaks with Craig Cesal, who was granted clemency as President Trump left office. Lukas speaks with Craig about his time in prison, the status of the drug war today, how he feels about President Trump granting him clemency and his work for NDICA. It’s a bust: The last segment of the show this week looks at who is busted at the border for cannabis the most.

Interview: For this week’s interview, Lukas talks to Ben Lightburn of Filament Health about an upcoming FDA approved study using Psilocin. They discuss the nature of psilocybin and Psilocin, Entheogenic (magic) mushroom’s entourage effect, Filament’s upcoming study at UCSF and more. It’s a Bust: In this week’s IAB, they look at a large bust in Detroit of Canadian cannabis and wonder why is Canadian cannabis still coming over the border.

Studios for the new show logo. In the News: The news briefs for this week get going with an FDA warning to parents to watch out for brand name candy; THC look a-likes, followed by a chat about Miami’s first dispensary, a New York Senator’s proposal for community cannabis gardens and Zimbabwe’s announcement they will be building a $27 million medical cannabis facility and Thailand passing out 1 million cannabis plants. Interview: This week Michael Sassano of Somai Pharmaceuticals , a Lisbon, Portugal based cannabis pharmaceutical manufacturer , joins the Corner to share his thoughts on Germany’s health minister embracing adult use cannabis, countries like Zimbabwe becoming large scale cannabis producers and he gives some insights on the question “How can cannabis pharmaceuticals and traditional/legacy cannabis coexist.” It’s A Bust: IAB travels back down to Alabama where a CBD store was raided, despite the police not knowing if the material seized was over the 0.3% THC threshold. Dig helps out and provides the number to a tip line set up by police given in the article.

Episode 43: In the News: Lukas and Dig get this episode started talking about the continued assault on women’s rights by Republicans and how they are not going to stop with the upcoming Supreme Court decision. The pair begin the news segment discussing the proposed King County “task force” that is working on a plan to stop cannabis shop robberies, followed by a look at a failed attempt to Unionize a cannabis grow in Oregon, a lawsuit filed against former Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner, and, lastly, they give a quick update on the state of psilocybin legalization going on around the country. For the Interview this week, Lukas speaks with Bonita Money of the National Diversity and Inclusion Cannabis Alliance (NDICA) and Mike Bologna of Dip Devices about the lingering effects of the drug war on the Black community, things companies can do to promote social equity, a partnership between Dip Devices and NDICA and more. It’s a Bust follows a case in Southern Oregon in which a 64 year old woman is arrested at a large scale cannabis grow.

For this show’s interview, Lukas is joined by Tacoma cannabis and disability advocate Kyle Jolibois, who talks about his run in with Pierce County Washington Sheriff Ed Troyer. Kyle wore a shirt that mentioned the Sheriff at a Tommy Chong meet and greet and things went downhill from there. Tune into hear what happened and how to help.
