Maria McLeod reads on Sound Poetry. Maria McLeod is a writer of poetry, prose and works of documentary theatre. She has worked as an interviewer, professor, PR consultant, and oral historian. She has taught multiple genres of writing, working with writers of all ages, from first graders to octogenarians in settings that have included after-school programs, community colleges, public libraries and universities. Kim Stafford on Maria McLeod’s poetry: “These poems tell what can’t be told, trusting images and sensations to convey us into life’s mysterious past, and then to emerge unburdened by crippling vows of silence.
